Just re-watched this. I remember seeing the re-run of the movie with one of my now ex right before we split up and we both walked out of the cinema that night knowing that we have this kind of a relationship and that this is how we're going to end. This movie... this movie reminds me of a Bojack Horseman quote: “I think there are people that help you become the person you end up being, and you can be grateful for them even if they were never meant to be in your life forever.”
The ending rollback scene: when they both see what could have been if they stayed with each other, it makes me think about my personal dreams. When we pursue our dreams are we sure we're pursuing the dream we absolutely want? Is there a road that I should've taken that would've made me happier? Idk man being young and not knowing what I want to do with my life yet, this... this hit home hard, because I don't know if what I want is what I want and if it is what I want what windows will close when I take that road. Reminds me of a Sylvia Plath quote from the bell jar:
